FAT LOSS ACTIVATION

Fat Loss Activation is the final phase of the Jolt Nutrition Methodology. This stage is completed after our Habits Overhaul and Metabolic Restoration phase. This is the phase of the programming where we enter into our caloric deficit, the most essential part of any weight loss program. However, at Jolt, we do things differently, so that you NEVER have to diet again. We build healthy and resilient bodies that do not need yo-yo dieting, extreme restrictions, or “magic” detoxes.

THE CALORIC DEFICIT

In the final phase we coach you into and out of your caloric deficit. A caloric deficit means you’re consuming less calories than you’re burning. You consume calories through food and drink for energy. You burn calories for energy (like fuel in your gas tank) through your resting metabolic rate (energy used to rest) and physical activity and exercise. Most trainers will say, “eat less and move more”, as if it’s that simple. Although they are correct, there is no getting around that calories in and calories out matters, it can also be influenced by many factors which we take care of together in phases 1 or 2 in the Jolt Nutrition Method.

 
 

When all the controllable factors that influence the energy balance are healthy, then we can enter our Fat Loss Activation phase. The problem with most diets, is they begin the process with caloric deficit before Overhauling Lifestyle Habits and Restoring the Metabolism.

RESTRICTIVE DIETS DON’T WORK

When we drastically drop our calories below maintenance (maintaining healthy weight), we will lose weight (given we have a healthy metabolism/energy balance factors). The problem with most diets is that when they cut the calories down they also cut down your quality of life. They may remove full food groups, your favourite treats, the culture from your foods, they may deprive you of energy, social settings, and overall quality of life.

At Jolt, we aim to build you up and create resilient bodies that live a high quality life. Our nutrition is major part of that, we believe that there is a way to be in caloric deficit without giving up your entire sanity in exchange. Our methods will take longer than the quick fix down the street, but our methods will last longer.

Restrictive diets can lead to disease, inflammation, and injury. Your metabolism controls every cellular interaction in your body, we cannot afford to damage it with restrictive diets. Restrictive diets will not lead to your body composition goals. It compromises your muscle mass, hair, and skin health - all to make the number on the scale smaller. Lastly, they take all the joy out of your life forbidding you from drinks with your friends or pizza night with your family. At Jolt, we believe your nutrition should work with your life.

At Jolt, are Fat Loss Activation phase is progressive and strategic. Our goal is to lose body fat, while consuming the most amount of energy possible. That means, we never starve or restrict you. We manage choices through education and take the slow and steady approach to cutting energy in, week over week. We monitor the body’s feedback cues to ensure that this fat loss activation phase is sustainable and effective. We don’t just dump you into the diet and say “see you later!”. In this phase you can expect to track your caloric and macronutrient intake, check in with your coach, and use feedback strategies like tracking your body measurements. In this phase, we expect detailed tracking and dedicated commitment.

 

WHY JOLT NUTRITION METHODS ARE DIFFERENT

We can provide lasting results, so that this is the last “diet” you will ever need. We take the slow and steady approach, so that we can work to build you your healthiest and highest quality life. We believe your nutrition should work with you, not against you.
