At Jolt, we deliver a full-spectrum hockey off-season program designed to build athletes into resilient, lightning-fast, and powerhouse athletes prepped to unleash their potential at their next home opener. Our structured progressive program unfolds across strategic phases, by rebuilding resiliency (injury prevention), strength development, and explosive power gains, culminating in peak performance as they hit the ice strong next season.
Our approach emphasizes progressive and purposeful training to enhance on-ice performance and prevent injuries throughout the season. Our Hockey Training Off Season Program runs in 3 phases:
1) Rebuild & Reprogram
Starting promptly in May, our program is strategically built to kick off with a focus on rehabilitation to tend to any lingering aches and pains from the previous season. These initial weeks of low-intensity work are instrumental in establishing a robust groundwork for a summer dedicated to substantial athletic enhancements. Prioritizing injury rehabilitation and structural reconstruction sets the stage for the subsequent phases where sport-specific strength and power will be the cornerstone of our training approach.
2) Strength
During our strength phase, our primary objective is to cultivate strength and muscular robustness essential for athleticism. We lay the groundwork by building fundamental movements that foster the development of resilient athletes. As these foundational pillars of strength are solidified, we pivot towards refining athletic force transfer, channeling our strength acquisition into hockey-specific power and agility.
3) Power
This pivotal phase is where we focus power house athletes in hitting their peak performance precisely as they re-enter the competitive season. Leveraging the solid foundation of strength and resilience we've cultivated, we shift our focus towards enhancing speed for explosive first-step quickness and power for athletes who control the game with unrivalled dominance.
